Rita Pessanha was born in Porto, where she lives and works.
She attended the Free Course of Painting in the Art School of Porto-ESAP, between 1983 and 1985.
Studied painting at the Art School of Porto-ESAP. (Interrupted in 1989 at the end of 2nd year).
Participated in the eighteenth and Technology Experience Sargadelos Escuela Libre de Ceramics - Spain 1989.
Honorable Mention and Purchase Award in the "Spring Salon" at the Casino Estoril in 1989.
