Gracinda Candeias was born in Luanda, on 17th May 1947, daughter to the painter José Marques Candeias. Graduated in Fine Arts in Porto in the 60's..
She held several solo exhibitions, worked and exhibited in China and Portuguese-speaking countries around 5 years, conducted about 500 participations in group exhibitions at home and abroad. The artist is represented in some of the most relevant portuguese museus and also in others overseas.
She won several awards in her long career.
