António Franchini, or simply Franchini (Porto, 1959-).
In his CV are dozens of individual and colective exhibitions in different cities and countries - U.S.A, Brazil, Finland, France, Spain, United Kingdom, South Korea and Portugal, besides several national and international Biennials, some of them as guest artist.
His works are represented in public and private collections in Portugal and other countries.
He was finalist pf World Porto Cartoon 2015 with his work "Fez-se Luz na Arte".
Had been Chanceler of the Arts in the Year of Porutgal in Brazil and Brazil in Portugal - 2012.
Was named Non-Violence Ambassador by Yoko-Ono. This is a project dedicated by John Lennon's widow, after his murder, to causes against violence.
Commisary of the 3rd Interncaional Biennial of Gaia.
Curator of several exhibitions both in Portugal and in Brazil, in galleries, cultural centers and museums.
Was Cultural Advisor of the Doctors Order of the North, between 2016 and 2018.
Was Director of APAP - Professional Association of Plastic Artists of S. Paulo, Brazil.
Member of ANAP - National Association of Plastic Artists.
During several years he divided his work between his ateliers n Brangaça and Porto. Currently works most of the time at the atelier in Porto.
