Universe, gesture, and heritage
It is impossible to know the path taken by creativity. It is an uncertain recipe whose ingredients
blend a little subjectivity, fantasy, and dreams with large amounts of the social, political, and
economic reality experienced by the artist. It also includes massive doses of the past, its roots
and traditions. In this exhibition, recent works by thirteen artists working with Underdogs Gallery
have been selected to be showcased at Ap'arte Gallery and paint in three of those spectrums:
emotion [personal universe], politics [a gesture in the world], and tradition [(un)conformity and
heritage].
